With a huff, Malo trudges her way through the forest, the dark obscuring much of her person.

She hauls a baseball bat on her shoulders, the metal on it bearing a small bit of wet blood as she continues to walk off with speed, considerably miffed.

"Bag of dicks. I better not see your ugly mug again." She mutters to herself amongst the chill of night. While in her stride, she swipes off some blood from the bat, and with the wet substance, smudges some of it underneath her nose and on the chest of her jacket, just to cover a few things up. There's a snap of a stick being stepped on considerably close to Malo. All sound seems to stop from it, but the wind continues to blow.

She slows down with that, starting to take a small glance around, suspiciously, "Oi."

There's nothing. Maybe a glimpse of a pair of eyes staring out from the dark, but that could just be her mind playing tricks on her. She'd seem to look in the direction of of whatever her eyes thought they saw, for a bit too long of a while, before huffing and turning around, starting to walk away more. After a small bit, she could hear light footsteps walking through the fallen leaves. Not too close, but close enough.

She's clearly a fair bit off put by this, but simply grips her bat tighter as she continues walking, "If you're some loser, an animal, or a car salesman I'd advise you to come out now so I don't end up getting arrested for this."

The footsteps stop for a second. Then they continue again! The closer they get, the easier it is to determine they're bipedal. Malo takes a good look around her as she walks, trying to determine what direction the footsteps are coming from. A clicking can be heard from some trees in the distance. Doesn't sound like a normal bird, or any actual animal. She slows down a bit with that sound, but continues to walk slowly, just trying to keep an eye around her Up ahead appears to be a sign? Like, one that people would put in their lawns. It's a little hard to make out due to the distance. The pace is picked up, squinting her eyes at the sight of the sign to try and get a better look as she approaches.

In some stupid, typically "spooky" font, it reads:

--

DEITY IN DEATH

First meeting on the 25th at 8pm

Bonita Lakes Park

--

She reads it, raising an eyebrow at the sign, "Oh-.. Alright, that's interesting."

There appears to be a small bin of pamphlets on the ground next to it! Why not take one, or two, or maybe a dozen? They sell like Pokemon cards, or so I've heard.... She takes about a dozen of pamphlets, just to hold. maybe accidentally smearing some blood on them. And starts to read through one. It's all brightly colored and encoded in binary for whatever reason? There's a discord link at the back though. Also a few pictures of what look to be people, and one of people worshipping... something. Hard to tell what it is. Malo gazes over them for a good while .

"..Yeah this definitely isn't anything like I've seen before. Could be interesting though, there's a lot of people who'd like this weird sort of thing." With a shift of her bat, she gets it into a better position to get her phone and check into the link. It leads to a small server, only two channels. The clicking from the trees happens again, this time closer. She flinches with the click, before trying to determine the direction it came from, still holding the pamphlets Only faint breaths can be heard. Are they Malo's? Are they someone else's? Do they even exist at all? It's impossible to know. The phone is put away slowly, and she readjusts her grip on the bat, slowly starting to walk again.
